Next I drew several different birds to test.

For this delicate necklace, I liked this feminine composition the best. 

Using Photoshop, I positioned the drawing over a scan of the pendant prototype.

I produced and scanned a physical prototype, and added specific measurement details to send to the factory along with the sample. 
 

Here is the bird pendant with the other two pieces I designed for this group.  This scan was also sent to the factory for reference along with the boards of materials to use. 

Necklace samples came back from the factory, and were approved after some color adjustment on the cabochon and drawings. These hit stores in November of 2007.
